All On-demand Printers are now compatible for mac pc.

Please see manual below (only available in campus network) to set up your pc to use on-demand printer.

“Information Security Handbook” is ready

ICT Office have created “Information Security Handbook” to enhance an information security mentality in Sophia University.
The main target of this handbook is teachers who use ICT facilities such as computers in campus, and the idea is also common for staff members or home use of PC or smartphone.

The contents are very simple which contains basic knowledge of information security, but we believe that it is very effective to reduce probability of serious accident by keeping them.
We hope all teachers and staff members read this handbook carefully and think about keeping security of computers etc. around us.

Suspension of 9 Cafe Network

The campus network in 9 cafe belongs to the network of the 4th building.
Due to the renovation of the 4th & 9th building, we are going to sustain the network of 3rd building and connect to 9 cafe.

So we have to suspend the network of 9 cafe during the time below.

8th November 2018 from 17:00 to 18:00

ICT Office will suspend our network services as follows because of our system renewal including communication lines.
The schedule may be changed by the progress. We will inform you via our website (ICT Office HP) and Sophia bulletin board when the schedule is changed.

■ Range of Influence
The whole of our campus network service will be suspended. All of our services with data communication including Internet connection on campus, Sophia-Wifi, Database Search, Sophia Integrated Database System (including Changing Passwords), Moodle, VPN, OCW, and login function of OPAC system of our library will be suspended.
Sending and receiving e-mails on the spot via IBM Notes software, and remote access function are not available. Received e-mails via IBM Notes software will be sent later.

*Sophia-mail, the official website of Sophia University and Loyola via off-campus network access are available as usual.

As Center for Academic Affairs (Gakuji Center) announced, we have started to accept application for use of COM/CALL/SI (Former AV) rooms for AY 2019 from October, 30th.

Please apply by following steps below:
*This questionnaire may not work with iOS(iPhone/Pad) or Android. Please answer with Windows/Mac PC.

October 29, 2018(Mon.) - November 9 (Fri.)

(2) After log-in, access the web site below and answer the questionnaire.

About TLS1.2 on sophiamail Login Site

About TLS1.2 on sophiamail Login Site

After 31st Oct. 2018, TLS1.2 will be MUST on sophiamail login web page.
That means if you have devices which do not support TLS 1.2, you cannot log in to sophiamail with that.
Note: if you are using applications to read e-mail such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Mac Mail, you can access your account.

Please upgrade browsers if your devices allows to do so.

On-demand Printer NOT AVAILABLE for MAC OS MOJAVE

For Mac users,

we are very sorry to announce that you cannot use on-demand printers from Mac Mojave now.
This is because whether/both Mac OS or/and Ricoh's printing system have some defects.

To print out via on-demand printers, please use PC in COM rooms, etc.
