Connecting to the network in teachers' office

In your office, you can connect your PC to the campus network. Prior application and settings are necessary. 


[About the service]
You can use the campus network in the rooms in the list below which has information outlets.

(Teachers' office, PC rooms for faculty/department, Office of faculty/department, Laboratories for Graduate School, Research Institutes, Centers)

  • Please connect LAN cable to the ODD number port of the information outlet.
  • When you connect your PC to the campus network, please make sure to install anti-virus software. Media Center lends Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) for free. Please refer to here about lending SEP.

     As of November, 2017, it is for rooms in the buildings below:
      -Bldg.#4(Depends on the room. Please contact Media Center)

      -Bldg.#13 2F, 6F Executive Rooms

Users who connect with DHCP connection

Connecting with DHCP (IP address is automatically assigned).

Media Center Account is required to connect to the network.
*It takes 2 business days to issue the account. If you don't have Media Center account, please apply for it in advance.

You need to set up your PC/device beforehand. (Application for IP address is unnecessary)

For how to connect to the network, please refer to the manual booklet which is offered at Media Center office.

Users other than the above

Connecting with fixed IP address. Prior application and settings are necessary. 

Please submit "Application for IP Network Connection" to Media Center.
We send "Approval for IP Network Connection" and "Manual for IP Connection Setup" three business days after or later of the acceptance day.

1. Who can apply for the network connection?

  It depends on the room type as follows:

*except who belong to a faculty/department which has own network, such as 'Faculty of Science and Technology' or 'Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies'.

Laboratories for Graduate School
Chairperson
Research Institutes / CentersDirector
Office in Bldg. #6 /
Mejiro Seibo Campus
Application for IP address is unnecessary (DHCP connection certificated by faculty ID is used)

2. Who can connect to the network?
  Person that the applicants can be responsible for their network use.

  Media Center provides manual booklet ”Manual for IP Connection Setup".
