Lending PCs for Students

The PCs will be lent out for class use in case of emergency, such as when a personal PC malfunctions.
Please read and follow the precautions below before using the PCs.

Purpose and use of Lending PCs

The PCs will be lent out for class use in case of emergency, such as when a personal PC malfunctions.
Therefore, please note that long-term rentals are not available.

Lending and Returning Procedures

Please observe the same-day return policy. Please note that the return location varies depending on the time of day.
When returning the PC, please turn off the power and check the contents (PC and AC adapter) are not missing.
The person who borrowed the PCs must return it yourself.

Weekdays 9:00 – 11:30, 12:30 – 17:00

ICT Office, 3rd floor, Bldg. 2, Student Consultation Desk

Weekdays after 17:00.

*Please note that we cannot lend out PCs during 1st, 5th, and 6th periods.

Software Installation

Office and Calabo-MX are installed. Installation of any other software is prohibited.

Precautions

  • No PCs may be taken off campus.
  • Lending PCs must be returned by the end of the day.
  • As a rule, return by proxy will not be accepted.
  • Use for purposes other than class is prohibited. Assignments should be done in the PC room or other locations.
  • Please save the created files to a USB memory stick, etc. by yourself. Files will be deleted when the system is restarted.
  • O-drives and on-demand printers are not available on lent PCs.
  • Be sure to check the battery before use, as it may not be charged.
  • Any other use that is not in accordance with the proper purpose is prohibited.
  • If the lent PC is damaged due to gross negligence or willful misconduct, or if the PC is not returned after a long period, the user may be required to pay compensation or take other measures.
