Connecting to network in classrooms

In general classrooms and meeting rooms, you can connect your PC to the Internet.
In classrooms, wired LAN is available at teacher’s desk. In some classrooms, wi-fi is also available.

  • ICT Office recommends that teachers / presenters use wired LAN.
  • Full-time teachers are expected to use their own PC.
  • Information Service Office (bldg.#2 1F) lends laptop PCs to part-time teachers.
  • You need Sophia ICT account to connect to the Internet.
  • ICT Office generally does NOT issue the account for other than faculty members or students of Sophia University.

PCs that Information Service Office lends CANNOT connect to Wi-fi.

Please take note the following points:

  1. ICT Office reccomends that teachers use wired LAN, at the teacher’s desk, not wi-fi, because we cannot give priority to teachers’ network communication over students’.
