Sophia ICT Account

To use various services offered by the ICT Office, an ID and password given by the ICT Office are needed. This is what we call “Sophia ICT Account”.

What you can do with Sophia ICT Account

  • Using Single-sign-on systems
    • Integrated Authentication System
      It is an authentication system that serves as an entry point for single sign-on.

    • Microsoft 365 (SophiaMail, OneDrive, Free Office, Faculty portal site, etc.)
      You can use Microsoft365 services including sending/receiving send e-mail from “sophia.ac.jp”(faculty) or “eagle.sophia.ac.jp”(students)
      Sophia University students and faculties can download Office software for free from the Microsoft website and install it on their own PCs.
      Faculty and staff can use ‘Sophia M365 Portal’ site for bulletin boards, etc.

    • Loyola
      Loyola is an educational affairs management system. Users can register and view information related to university courses, such as syllabus, course registration, grades, and bulletin board.
      *For students and faculty, please contact the Center for Academic Affairs.

    • Moodle
      Moodle is an online learning management system.
      Students can check class materials and submit assignments online.
      Teachers can use this system to post class materials, give assignments to students, and evaluate them.

    • Other systems
      You can use the Self-learning Portfolio, My OPAC (for searching library materials and databases), the Mailing list management system, and CaLabo MX (for language study).

    • E-mail (Sophia Mail)
      You can receive and send e-mails from “sophia.ac.jp” account (need initial settings).
  • Campus Network (Wired / Wireless ), eduroam
    You can connect your laptops or smartphones to the internet.
    Teachers can connect their PCs in classrooms and offices (wired LAN recommended).

  • PC rooms, On-demand printers / Multi-functional printers
    PCs and Printers are available for writing essays, printing them out, self-learning, etc.
    Teachers can conduct classes in PC Rooms.

  • Moodle
    Moodle is an online course management system.
    Students can check materials offered by lecturers and hand in assignments via online.
    Teachers can publish syllabus or lecture document, give assignments to students on Web, and evaluate them.

  • Zoom
    To use Zoom, please sign up using your Sophia Mail address. (Single sign-on will be supported in January 2025)

How to acquire Sophia ICT Account

Some are given account automatically, and some need to apply for account. It differs from his/her position.
The details look at the following.
